Orbital Merges Schools Marketing Businesses

The Orbital Marketing Services Group has merged its two education marketing brands to form a new division branded Jem Education Direct.
JEM Education Marketing Services Ltd became part of the Orbital Group in 2001. In 2010 they also acquired the Education Direct mailing business which operated as a separate brand for the first 12 months. Following an in depth business review it was felt that there would be far greater benefits to their customers if the two businesses were to combine their resources.
The enlarged business becomes the largest education sector mailing and direct marketing specialist, providing a comprehensive range of services to organisations wishing to communicate with and promote to schools, colleges, universities and other educational establishments.
Services include specialist education data, solus and shared mailings, e-broadcasts, print and short-run book production plus a seven-day-a-week call centre and order processing facility with integrated storage, packing and delivery capability.
Jem Education Direct has a new look logo and a new website at www.jem.co.uk.
The company is headed by Managing Director André Kleinman, previously with JEM Education Marketing Services and Sales & Client Services Director David Edwards who founded Education Direct. Jem Education Direct is based at Orbital’s 60,000 sq ft site at Sittingbourne in Kent which also houses Orbital’s volume mailing operation, their digital printing and short-run book production facility and their healthcare marketing services division.
