Tuesday 14th August 2012
Jem Education Direct, provider of marketing services to schools has launched its latest web service, www.resources4schools.co.uk, a portal that provides teachers and other educational professionals with access to a wide range of free teaching resources from leading organisations, companies and charities including AnimalAid, The European Commission, Marie Curie Cancer Care, BP, RNLI, The National Archives and many more. Over 900 professionally produced and tested teaching resources are already featured and the list is growing daily.
Visitors to the web site can search by subject, age range or resource provider to find lesson support material that is free to use. They can order those they want sent to them directly, either by post or email depending on the format of the chosen materials.
This one-stop ‘gateway’ will take the effort out of finding free materials to support lesson plans and is particularly useful in these cash-strapped times.
Jem specialise in communication services for organisations and suppliers wanting to contact the education sector. Jem Education Direct's Sales & Client Services Director, David Edwards, commented:
“We have always been committed to providing our clients with innovative services that meet their needs. This latest development is targeted directly at teachers and provides them with an easy-to-use portal that, we believe, will make a positive contribution to their lesson planning whilst at the same time increasing the opportunities for resource-providers promote their materials.”
