Take One Media completes range of tourist publications
Monday 12th March 2012
Take One Media, market leader in tourism literature distribution, has published the latest of its 2012 tourist publications.
With a combined circulation of 1,500,000 copies the four publications are distributed via Take One’s extensive range of tourism literature display stands as well as other visitor information points.
The continuing popularity of these publications is underlined by their proven pick-up by tourists.
Philippa Harris, Take One Media's Managing Director, commented: “There are now less government and local authority funded guides so we’re filling a gap. Despite being in the e-age, spontaneous pick up of convenient publications featuring a range of attractions and local information is as great as ever.”
These free publications are funded by advertising from tourist attractions and other businesses targeting visitors to their local area.
The four publications are:
The Xperience London leaflet is popular with visitors to London as it features maps of the Underground central London streets. It is distributed through Take One’s unique London network of 1200 regularly serviced display stands - and via hotel porters who just can’t get enough!
There are three editions produced throughout the year: Spring (250,000 copies distributed); Summer ‘London 2012’ edition, which now has Docklands added to the coverage (400,000 copies distributed) and the Autumn/Winter edition (250,000 copies distributed).
Somerset Things to See & Do, Map & Guide
Now in its tenth edition this popular A5 guide contains discount vouchers for many attractions in Somerset, with a high redemption every year. It is displayed in Take One Media’s West Country network, in Tourist Information Centres and in display stands in motorway service areas on the way to the area.
Half a million copies of this publication are distributed.
The Home of Shakespeare: Things to See & Do
Now in its second year and moved to a larger A5 format, this guide features 29 attractions including Warwick Castle and Shakespeare’s Birthplace. As well as a map of the general area, Take One has also added a street map of Stratford-upon-Avon so that visitors to this popular destination can pinpoint attractions more precisely.
One hundred thousand copies will be on display by Easter 2012 in Take One’s 700 leaflet display stands across the West Midlands.
Xperience South East
This publication is aimed at encouraging London visitors to take trips outside the capital. A quarter of a million copies will be distributed via Take One Media’s London network.
This, the fourth edition of Xperience South East, features a redesigned front cover and new advertisers including Chessington World of Adventures and Oxford Castle Unlocked.
