Orbital Mailing Scoops Direct Mail Growth Award

06/06/2011

The Royal Mail’s Strategic Mailing Partnership (SMP) unveiled the winners of its first awards scheme to celebrate Better Mail and Orbital Mailing was delighted to receive the ‘Mail Growth Award’ for attracting new customers to direct mail.

The awards took place at the second annual SMP conference which was held at the Kia Oval cricket ground.

Orbital Mailing was nominated for the award by Royal Mail’s Colin Brown who commented: “I recommended Orbital Mailing as a result of the fantastic work they have done to win new DM mailings and utilising our New Business Referral Scheme & First Time User Scheme.”

The initial shortlist of ten mailing houses was reduced to three by an independent panel of judges. Orbital Mailing won the award despite stiff competition from the other nominees within this category.

André Kleinman (Director of Orbital Mailing) and Steve Morton (Head of Business Development) attended the SMP conference and were delighted to receive the award.

Kent-based Orbital Mailing Services is a key member of SMP which is a cooperative of direct marketing organisations and mailing houses. The organisation was set-up by Royal Mail to encourage and enable collaboration and cooperation between them and the direct marketing industry’s leading companies to help drive forward modernisation and to tackle issues affecting the industry as a whole.
