Latest Investment for Orbital Print
Friday 28th September 2012
Sittingbourne-based Orbital Print Ltd has taken delivery of one of the first Xerox Nuvera 288’s to be installed in the south east.
It is in addition to their existing Nuvera 100 which has been upgraded with a faster engine to 144 impressions per minute.
This latest investment increases Orbital Print’s capacity for short-run digital book production, personalised printing and general short-run print. The new kit provides greater resilience and flexibility as well as the capacity to satisfy increased customer demand for a better image quality. It uses less energy, is much quieter and is more environmentally friendly through its utilisation of organically grown EA toner.
The newer machine comes complete with upgraded Adobe imposition software; making set ups much quicker and enabling all of Orbital Print’s three Xerox digital presses to “talk the same language”. The near four-fold increase in capacity enables Orbital Print to improve their turnaround times and create the capacity to realise the growth ambitions for the business.
Orbital Print Ltd now has three Xerox digital presses. In addition to the two Nuvera’s they also operate a Xerox 700 colour machine. These are used as part of their business of providing specialist short-run book printing services to UK publishers and training companies. Orbital Print also has a litho print division, based in Ashford, providing high quality print for posters, flyers, business stationery, booklets, company brochures, bookmarks, manuals, reports, tender documents etc.
Orbital Print Ltd is part of the Orbital Marketing Services Group of companies who provide communication, logistics and promotional services in the form of direct mail, distribution, response and fulfilment services and printing services to a variety of market sectors.
